Mac Lipstick Snob

Snob was the second product I picked up from the Mac counter at the airport, I didn't go looking for a particular lipstick colour so just spent a while swatching them all. I was really impressed with the swatch for Snob and thought what the heck lets give it ago!  This is only my second lipstick from Mac but seeing as the other one I own is my all time favourite lipstick I was pretty excited to get another one!

Snob is a satin lipstick which applies so smoothly and is highly pigmented. Snob is a cool toned pink with slight purple undertones, were it is so cool toned I think not everyone could get away with this colour. When I first tried this colour on my lips I was a bit unsure. But after trying it a few more times I realised that actually its a very beautiful colour which I can pull off with my NC15 skin tone. I tend to apply Snob over Mac Hip 'N' Happy lip pencil just because I prefer to use one under my lipsticks. It sounds weird but I can not stop smelling this lipstick, I just find it smells just like cake icing, I feel that it smells a lot stronger than my other Mac lipstick. However the smell does not transfer to the lips which I am very happy about!

Overall I am starting to love this lip colour more and would recommend it for those with a paler skin tone. Have you guys tired Snob?

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers: Atomic & Criminal

I have had these products for ages but realised today that I haven't got a blog post about them! Shocker! When MUA first launched their Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers I knew I had to try them, but it took me forever to actually find a Superdrug that stocked them. When I finally found them in store I picked up 2, Atomic and Criminal.

I was quite surprised at how much I actually like these lacquers due to being only £3 I was worried that the product would be cheap and not work as well. But I was wrong! Firstly the packaging is gorgeous and very fancy looking for MUA! They come in frosted glass packing with a black lid with gold lettering - very nice MUA. The lacquers themselves have amazing pigmentation and apply to the lips as a thick gloss however dry completely matte. I have to say I do hate the short time during the drying stage as your lips feel horrible and sticky and I just hate anything sticky on my lips, but luckily once dry the stickiness goes. With these products you have to be so fast at applying because they do dry in record time and will show up any mistakes. I have really odd shaped lips and you can really tell with these lacquers but oh well! The colour lasts me the whole day without having to reapply even with eating and drinking which I think is great as I hate having to reapply my lip gloss every 5 minutes! Below are swatches of both colours:

Atomic:

Atomic is a vibrant orange but does look quite red in some lights and pictures. Atomic was the first colour I picked out as I LOVE anything orange.

Criminal:

Criminal is a bright purple pink, I loved this colour as soon as I saw it because who doesn't love bright pink!

Overall I love the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers, Atomic being my favorite! I really want to try the other colours of these and recommend them to everyone!

Mac Peaches Blush

As some of you may know I am now in New York for 3 months (yay!) as my boyfriend is working over here, but it did mean that I had to fly by myself, arrrgghh! I hate flying as it is, but being on my own scared me even more! So I figured to help with my fear at the airport I would go to the Mac counter! I purchased 3 products and will do a blog post for each of them.

The first product I picked up was the Blush Peaches, I have wanted this blush for sooooo long but for some reason every time I went to a counter I have left without it. Now that I have it I don't know how I lived without it, it has got to be my favorite blush EVER! I have been wearing everyday since arriving in New York on the 27th.

I have never before used a powder blush from Mac, only one of their cream blushes and I can not get over how beautiful it is to apply. It feels so soft and is soo easy to blend! Peaches is a matte blush which is the most gorgeous peach shade, the shade is so warming on and really does make my skin glow. I am the foundation shade NC15 and find that Peaches suits my skin tone perfectly, really warming and gives me a slight bronzed look. As I mentioned Peaches is a matte blush but I do sometimes add a highlighter over the top to add a subtle shimmer.

I am so happy that I now finally own this beauty and would recommend it to everyone as I feel that the colour would suit everyone! I am slightly worried because I now want to try more Mac powder blushes and feel that this is the start of a very beautiful addiction!

What are your favorite blushes from Mac?
