Sleek Pout Paints

Hey Lovelies!

I have been meaning to write this post for such a long time! Oh well better late than never!

I received two of Sleeks Pout Paints in the July Glossybox and fell in love straight away! I actually use these much more than I thought I would originally. The Pout Paints are highly pigmented lip stains which are designed so you can mix the colours together and make your own shade.

I received the colours 136 Peek-a-bloo which is a blue, which I have to say I wouldn't use on its own! 162 Milkshake is a vibrant coral pink which I wear quite a bit! I am not that afraid of wearing bright pinks and this is very bright! Mixing these colours make a beautiful purple which I love! I love mixing the colours as it makes me feel like I am finger painting! I have noticed that if applied incorrectly can cause me to look like I have a botched up lip job as they stain around the lips. I apply these with my fingers but it would look so much with a lip brush. (can anyone recommend a good lip brush?) The colours are also incredibly long wearing which I love!

Milkshake

Both colours mixed (terrible picture)

Overall I love the Pout Paints and couldn't recommend them enough. I want all the other colours in this range so I can play and mix more colours :)!

Have you tried Sleeks Pout Paints? Which is your favourite?!

Lots of love,

My First Cream Blusher - Mac Cremeblend Blush So Sweet, So Easy

Hello Lovlies,

This post is all about the Mac Cremeblend Blush in So Sweet, So Easy. I used to be petrified of cream blushers, they looked so hard to use I was worried that would go on uneasy and made my face look greasy, so just stuck to easy to use powder blushers. However while looking through the Mac website I saw this and fell in love with the bright bubblegum pink, who doesn't like bubble gum pink? I then noticed it was cream and was a bit put off but wanted it so much for the colour. In the end I decided I needed it, and ordered it!

Once it came I tried it out and found that it went on so smoothly and looked amazing! I am so glad I ordered it now.

I apply the blush with my fingers and pat it on my cheeks, I finding patting it works better than rubbing it in! The next colour I want to get my hands on is Something Special.

Have you tried Mac's Cremeblend Blush? What do you think of cream blushers??

Lots of love,

Holly xx

Glossybox August 2013

Hello Lovlies!

It is Glossybox time again!! (I know my post is a little late, sorry!!) August's Glossybox theme was High-flyers so I was expecting to try products from different countries, this excited me as I love trying different brands. Here is what I received in my box..

Urban Veda
Daily Radiance Facial Wash
Founded on ancient Indian principles

This is the first time I have heard of Urban Veda but I am looking forward to trying this product as it claims to naturally brighten and balances skin tone. I am terrible at looking after my skin and hardly use any products so this is a great samples for me! This samples is 20ml.

Jelly Pong Pong
2-in-1 Eyeliner & Shadow
UK

I have to say this product really did not excite me, so far the Jelly Pong Pong brand has not interested me. I received this eyeliner in black, which wasn't a great start as I have loads of black eyeliners so this is most likely going to live in the back of my makeup draw. I really wish I had received this in another colour as I would have used it more.

Oceane
Makeup Remover Pen
Brazil

Unfortunately this is another product that disappointed me! This is a makeup remover pen which you can use to remove mistakes around your lips and eyes. I use cotton buds religiously when applying my eye make up and buy them in bulk for real cheap, so I don't think this will get used much! I will give it ago but don't think it will replace my cotton bud habit!

TRESemme
Keratin Smooth Concentrated Treatment Shot
USA

I love hair products so this is perfect for me, I have really dry hair so anything that claims to help gets me excited! I really like TRESemme products so no doubt I will love this one! This product claims to return sun, sea, salt and chlorine weathered hair to summer goddess glory.

Emite Make Up
Eyelash Curler
Sweden

Now this is the product that excited me the most, I currently use curlers from the £1 shop and have been looking about for a new pair recently! These are gorgeous curlers that look really expensive being black and red. These curlers cost £20 usually so I expect good things!

Overall this months box has been a bit hit and miss, and compared to last months box disappointed me a tad! I am hoping that next months box is better.

What did you receive in your box? Was you a tad disappointed like me?

Lots of love,

Holly x

My First Mac Eye Shadow!

Hello Lovlies,

I have been eyeing up a few Mac eye shadows for a while now but could never decided what one I wanted the most, until I went to my local Mac store and found the Mac Mineralize Eye Shadow in Young Punk. It was truly love at first sight!!! As soon as I swatched this colour on the back of my hand I knew I had to have it, it is a black shadow which is jammed packed of purple glitter, and it really is full of glitter. Normally with glitter eye shadow I am disappointed as the glitter doesn't really show up. But with this eyeshadow I was blown away on how beautiful the glitter was. It is one of those colours that I can not put down, I keep swatching it on the back of my hand just so I can look at it.

I use this eye shadow as part of a dark Smokey eye as it adds a beautiful glittery finish, and I even sometimes use it all over the lid for a really strong look.

Over all I am so in love with this colour, I think it may be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I am so glad I brought this shadow and will definitely be trying others in the range!!

These pictures really do not do the product enough justice! I would really recomend going to Mac and swatching it yourselves!

Do you agree that this is just beautiful? Have you tried the Mac Mineralize Eye Shadows?

Lots of love,

Holly x

Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette

Hello Lovlies!

This is my last post on the Sleek products I brought in the 3for2 offer!

The 3rd product I brought was the Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette - Light 373. I have always been fascinated with contouring and highlighting but have also been a little afraid, does that sound crazy?! I was worried that I would end up looking stripy so choose to stay away from it. However when browsing the Sleek stand the Face Form Palette really caught my eye, and I decided to be brave a buy it!

As soon as I got home I tried it out and was very surprised at how easy it was to use and how good it actually looked on, no stripes!!!

The palette incudes a contour, highlight and a blush.

The contour is a light matte brown with no shimmer, I feel that this is the perfect colour for very subtle conturing. I use this contour very lightly and love how it looks!

The highlighter is a lovely champagne shimmer which give a nice glow.

The blush is so amazing! A gorgeous rose gold shimmer, i feel that this blush is prefect for everyday and I get lots of compliments when I wear it!  You can also purchase the Rose Gold Blush separately if you didn't want the palette.

Overall I love this palette and would really recommend it for anyone a tad nervous about contouring!

Have you tried the Sleek Face Form Palette? Do you love contouring?

Lots of love,

Holly x

Sleek True Colour Lipstick - Papaya Punch 782

Hello Lovlies,

Following on from my last Sleek post, the second product I got part of the 3for2 offer was the True Colour Lipstick in Papaya Punch 782.

I fell in love with this lipstick as soon as I saw it! It is such a beautiful colour, a pinky, coral,

orangey colour, BEAUTIFUL!! I had never tried any of Sleeks lipsticks before and being obsessed with orange/coral makeup I knew this colour was right for me ! Papaya Punch is a matt lipstick which I was very excited about as I LOVE the Rimmel Kate Moss Matt Lipsticks.

I have to admit I was very disappointed with this lipstick at first, the lipstick dragged on the lips when applied and as my lips get very dry (so annoying!) showed these dry patches up and just overall looked terrible! However as I loved the colour I was not giving up on it. Out came the lip balms and lip exfoliator, and as soon as my dry patches cleared up I gave it another go, and I am so glad I did!! With my lips being smooth the lipstick looked amazing! The colour looked great and was extremely long wearing.

Overall I am so happy I didn't give up on this lipstick, as it has quickly became one of my favourites! After trying out my first Sleek True Colour Lipstick I am definitely going to get some more. The colours I am next getting my hands on are Amped, Fuchsia, Tangerine Scram and Peaches & Cream.

Have you tried Sleeks True Colour Lipsticks? Which colours would you recommend?

Lots of love,

Holly
