Mac Lip Pencil Hip 'N' Happy

The last thing I brought from Mac at the airport was the lip liner in Hip 'N' Happy. I confess that I only brought this product because the lady on the counter suggested it to go with Snob, I didn't need it but so glad I have it now. Hip 'N' Happy is a dirty blue pink and complements Snob perfectly.

I never used a lip liner until Urban Decay brought out their lipsticks and the lady on counter told me that the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencils were a must have. Since then I have fallen for the charms of lip liners, they make your lipstick last twice as long and can be worn with a number of different lipsticks to create different colours. My favourite way to wear lip liners is with lip gloss, you can just use a clear or a coloured. Hip'N'Happy is the perfect pink which can be worn on its own for a gorgeous colour.

I find the Mac lip liners are not as creamy as the Urban Decay ones but they go on perfectly and have amazing staying power. I do find them a bit tricky to sharpen but I don't know if that's just me being a loser with the sharpener. I am happy to have added a Mac lip liner to my collection and will be surely adding more.

Do you guys use lip liners?

Mac Lipstick Snob

Snob was the second product I picked up from the Mac counter at the airport, I didn't go looking for a particular lipstick colour so just spent a while swatching them all. I was really impressed with the swatch for Snob and thought what the heck lets give it ago!  This is only my second lipstick from Mac but seeing as the other one I own is my all time favourite lipstick I was pretty excited to get another one!

Snob is a satin lipstick which applies so smoothly and is highly pigmented. Snob is a cool toned pink with slight purple undertones, were it is so cool toned I think not everyone could get away with this colour. When I first tried this colour on my lips I was a bit unsure. But after trying it a few more times I realised that actually its a very beautiful colour which I can pull off with my NC15 skin tone. I tend to apply Snob over Mac Hip 'N' Happy lip pencil just because I prefer to use one under my lipsticks. It sounds weird but I can not stop smelling this lipstick, I just find it smells just like cake icing, I feel that it smells a lot stronger than my other Mac lipstick. However the smell does not transfer to the lips which I am very happy about!

Overall I am starting to love this lip colour more and would recommend it for those with a paler skin tone. Have you guys tired Snob?

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers: Atomic & Criminal

I have had these products for ages but realised today that I haven't got a blog post about them! Shocker! When MUA first launched their Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers I knew I had to try them, but it took me forever to actually find a Superdrug that stocked them. When I finally found them in store I picked up 2, Atomic and Criminal.

I was quite surprised at how much I actually like these lacquers due to being only £3 I was worried that the product would be cheap and not work as well. But I was wrong! Firstly the packaging is gorgeous and very fancy looking for MUA! They come in frosted glass packing with a black lid with gold lettering - very nice MUA. The lacquers themselves have amazing pigmentation and apply to the lips as a thick gloss however dry completely matte. I have to say I do hate the short time during the drying stage as your lips feel horrible and sticky and I just hate anything sticky on my lips, but luckily once dry the stickiness goes. With these products you have to be so fast at applying because they do dry in record time and will show up any mistakes. I have really odd shaped lips and you can really tell with these lacquers but oh well! The colour lasts me the whole day without having to reapply even with eating and drinking which I think is great as I hate having to reapply my lip gloss every 5 minutes! Below are swatches of both colours:

Atomic:

Atomic is a vibrant orange but does look quite red in some lights and pictures. Atomic was the first colour I picked out as I LOVE anything orange.

Criminal:

Criminal is a bright purple pink, I loved this colour as soon as I saw it because who doesn't love bright pink!

Overall I love the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers, Atomic being my favorite! I really want to try the other colours of these and recommend them to everyone!

Mac Peaches Blush

As some of you may know I am now in New York for 3 months (yay!) as my boyfriend is working over here, but it did mean that I had to fly by myself, arrrgghh! I hate flying as it is, but being on my own scared me even more! So I figured to help with my fear at the airport I would go to the Mac counter! I purchased 3 products and will do a blog post for each of them.

The first product I picked up was the Blush Peaches, I have wanted this blush for sooooo long but for some reason every time I went to a counter I have left without it. Now that I have it I don't know how I lived without it, it has got to be my favorite blush EVER! I have been wearing everyday since arriving in New York on the 27th.

I have never before used a powder blush from Mac, only one of their cream blushes and I can not get over how beautiful it is to apply. It feels so soft and is soo easy to blend! Peaches is a matte blush which is the most gorgeous peach shade, the shade is so warming on and really does make my skin glow. I am the foundation shade NC15 and find that Peaches suits my skin tone perfectly, really warming and gives me a slight bronzed look. As I mentioned Peaches is a matte blush but I do sometimes add a highlighter over the top to add a subtle shimmer.

I am so happy that I now finally own this beauty and would recommend it to everyone as I feel that the colour would suit everyone! I am slightly worried because I now want to try more Mac powder blushes and feel that this is the start of a very beautiful addiction!

What are your favorite blushes from Mac?

Miners Cosmetics Limited Edition Tin o' Tint

Miners Cosmetics have launched their staple product Tin o' Tint with limited edition packaging as they have teamed up with the pop group NVS who are supporting Little Mix on their tour throughout May and June! They have released 5 lip balms in 5 different flavors, each one supporting a different band member.

The balm flavors represent each band member:

Harri Tin o' Tint Pink Grapefruit
Tess Tin o' Tint Mango
Axel Tin o' Tint Cocoa Bean
Danny Tin o' Tint Watermelon
Dec Tin o' Tint Cherry

The lovely people at Miners kindly sent me a Dec Tin o' Tiny Cherry* to try and here are my thoughts :)!

The balm comes in a cute little pot with a great eye catching design, this comes in the limited edition box which has a picture and signature of the band member is represents - in my case it is Dec! The colour of cherry is a gorgeous deep berry shade and it smells incredible! I was a tad worried at first because I thought it might smell sickly like some other cherry lip products but this balm reminded me of a cherry candle - such a beautiful sent!

The balm has a lovely texture and was not sticky at all, it was super moisturising and left a nice tint on the lips. The colour isn't super pigmented just a glossy tint which will be great for summer and at £2.99 they are super affordable!

Overall I love this product and really want to try the other flavors

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel Autumn Spice

As soon as I saw a picture of the Revlon Parfumerie scented polishes I fell in love. These polishes are supposed to be scented once dry and they really don't disappoint! I am a huge sucker for packaging and you really cannot get better than these polishes - the bottles are just gorgeous and look beautiful on a dressing table. I was a little unsure of the rounded tops at first thinking that they would make it difficult to apply the polish but they are very easy to use and cause no problems at all. The shades and scents are split into three categories - Sweets & Spices, Freshes and Fruits & Florals and with 24 shades you are sure to find something for you!

Now as there are so many shades to choose from it was a difficult choice in which ones to buy so I choose one from each category!  The first one I am going to talk about is Autumn Spice which is a dark chocolaty brown with gold and red shimmer. This is such a gorgeous shade which looks incredible on, it is one of those shades which I can't stop looking at when its on my nails. The scent is exactly how I imagined it to be like nutmeg and cinnamon - it reminds me of burning spice scented candles.

Autumn Spice went onto the nails beautifully and dried super quick which I was grateful for as I hate waiting for nail polish to dry! The colour lasted 3 days before it started to chip which is incredible for my nails which usually make polish chip just hours after applying! The scent was nice and strong on the first day of application but started to fade on the 2nd and by the 3rd had completely gone, however I wasn't to disappointed about the scent because you are still left with a gorgeous colour! It is really hard to capture the true beauty of this colour in pictures but I promise its gorgeous!!

Keep your eyes out for my next post :)!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil LSD

Ok I know what you are thinking MORE URBAN DECAY?!?!? I know but I can't help it, I just love Urban Decay makeup so I wont apologise :) A couple of posts ago I spoke about the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion which I loooooveeeeee! But LSD was actually the first pencil I brought - actually I think LSD was my first ever Urban Decay product! So I guess it is what started this love affair.

LSD is the most beautiful colour ever, a gorgeous dark blue with turquoise shimmer! I absolutely love wearing blue on my eyes, I hate it when I hear people saying people with blue eyes can't wear blue.. I love the colour blue so will continue to wear it on my eyes!

The formula of LSD is great, so creamy and glides onto the eye lids perfectly. I find that the liner lasts incredibly well even on my oily lids but I do find that it can sometimes transfer to the top of my lid but only sometimes.

The packaging for the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils are beautiful, I love how the packaging matches the colour of the product - I want all the colours just because they would look gorgeous on my dressing table!!

I normally wear LSD as a thick winged eyeliner and line the bottom lashes too! This eyeliner is just gorgeous and I love wearing it.
